The Marine Corps League provides incentive and recognizes those Marines that perform unselfish acts for the benefit of others and the good of the community.
The Distinguished Citizen Medal (DCM) is the highest award that can be achieved in the Marine Corps League. It is given to a member who has performed an act or demonstrated meritorious service at a level beyond what is expected or required.
The DCM Bronze is awarded at the Detachment level.

DCM Gold is awarded at the National Level,
