Here's an update on Past Dept Cmdt and Past Pack Leader Charlie Smith.
Charlie is doing the "Sea Bag Drag"...
As of Aug 8, 2024 Charlie was back at The Willows, an assisted living facility located off CR. 466 at 4725 Bellwether Lane, Oxford, FL 34484,
As of Aug 2, 2024 He was admitted to The Villages Hospital. Lee Redford visited him in the morning, and I (Lou) went early in the afternoon.
Charlie is as feisty as ever and wants to get out as soon as possible. He apparently had to be given some blood and is having testing to find out what’s going on.
Charlie was able to attend the last Pound Growl on Monday (Aug 5,2024) to celebrate his 91st birthday.

On or about July 29th, 2024, Charlie was orginally moved to The Willows, an assisted living facility located off CR. 466 at 4725 Bellwether Lane, Oxford, FL 34484.
Charlie loves visits from his Marine brothers and sisters. Again, his mobile phone number is (352) 212-1159. If you call him, and the call goes to voice mail, hang up and redial, which gives him time to get to his phone.
He does not know how to retrieve his voicemail.
