On this our 247th birthday, our Marine Corps is facing dramatic changes in it's makeup. The World and it's threats have become different from other times in our nation's history. But one thing remains constant, the Marine Corps dedication to the defense of our country. So ,while many of us may lament the current changes in our corps structure, we can rest assured that our individual marines have not changed. Their goals remain the same as the first marines in 1775 were; defend freedom, help the helpless, and destroy those who would attempt to do harm to our great nation.
