9 Partners for Patriots became a 501(C)(3) nonprofit in the fall of 2014. Mary Peter had a vision: To save lives and bring a measure of peace, functionality, and independence to veterans with anxieties born of service-related Post-traumatic Stress (PTSD), Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI), and Military Sexual Trauma (MST). By turning her Dog Training business into a life-saving resource with a rigid standard for the highest-quality service dog training for veterans and active military. A laser focus on action and innovation concept of matching homeless shelter dogs with veterans and teaching them to train those dogs to become their service animals. An idea now brought to fruition by the K9 Partners for Patriots team of collaborators and creators. Goal To be a pioneer for eliminating veteran suicide through the use of service dogs. To become the nation’s most trusted, knowledgeable service dog provider laying a positive path forward for veterans with PTSD, TBI, and MST.

How We’re Different from Other Service Dog Organizations
On the fringe of an airport industrial park, an unassuming gymnasium-sized structure stands as a sanctuary for warriors who have seen the harshest aspects of life on the battlefield. This is not just any structure; it’s a haven where veterans and their service dogs come together to heal, support, and thrive in a unique and fierce family environment.
