I trust that you, your family members, and your circle of friends have all successfully weathered the Coronavirus storm so far.
In spite of an indeterminable business and social environment for the foreseeable future, the Col. Phillip C. DeLong Detachment 1267 of the Marine Corps League is forging ahead with plans to host our 18th Annual Toys for Tots Golf Classic. Once again, the tournament will be held at the magnificent , 27 hole, championship course at Havana Country Club in The Villages. The date is Saturday, September 19th, 2020. Details are in the attached flyer.
A post-tournament luncheon buffet will be held at the very u nique Eisenhower Recreation Center along with the awards presentations, prizes, a Silent Auction, and everybody's favorite, the 50-50 drawing. For those who have never been inside the Eisenhower, the collection of militaria throughout the building is second-to-none.
With 40 million people reportedly out of work, this holiday season will be the leanest in decades for many families. Your participation will make a huge impact in the lives of underprivileged children in the local area, and for this coming Christmas in particular. To assist you with your support, we are offering a reduced entry fee (call it a COVID-19 relief discount) of $85 per golfer when your entry form is postmarked by June 30th. On July 1st, the regular fee of $95 will go into effect. So, get your individual, couples, or team entry form sent in and prepare for a great golf outing to benefit those in need.
