VN Pinning for Randy Cook

Mission, Accomplished 1976-1993



On Oct. 15, 2019, the Vietnam Commemoration Committee met at the Captiva Recreation Center, in The Villages Florida. The mission on this evening, was to recognize and honor Maj. Randy Cook Ret. (USA 1976-1993 / USMC 1966-1969,) for his services to our nation and his services during the Vietnam War.

As a note, Maj. Cook was wounded Aug 10th, 1968, where he earned the Purple Heart medal.

The event was organized by Diane & Jim Riney, who are friends with Maj. Cook. Mrs. Riney contacted Lou Calleja, the Chairman of the Vietnam Commemoration Committee, to surprise Maj. Cook with this honor.

Marine Corps League, Detachment 1267, Col. Phillip C. DeLong,

along with Maj.and Mrs Cooks friends and neighbors.
